Clear Skin Awaits: Join Us for Acne Awareness Month!

June is Acne Awareness Month, a time to recognize that acne is more than just “kid’s stuff.” Acne is a medical condition that includes pimples, whiteheads, blackheads, cysts, and nodules. It can appear on the face, chest, back, or anywhere on the body, affecting anyone from pre-teens to adults. This condition can cause immediate stress and, if left untreated, may lead to permanent scarring.

Most of your body is covered in hair, and acne results from clogged hair follicles. These follicles become blocked when excess oil traps dead skin cells, allowing bacteria to thrive and causing inflammation. Hormonal changes during puberty, pregnancy, and menopause often trigger acne, but stress can also be a significant factor. The more you stress, the worse acne can become.

At Skin & Vein Institute, Dr. Amanda Lloyd is dedicated to providing exceptional patient care. She works with you to control and clear acne, ensuring your skin is calm and healthy. For those who have experienced acne, Dr. Lloyd provides not only advanced treatments to clear active breakouts but also specialized laser treatments to improve acne scars, so your skin can look and feel its best at every stage of your journey.

Don’t let acne control your life. Book an appointment today by calling (760) 452-2080 or emailing [email protected]. Soothing, effective treatment is just a call away!
