Say Goodbye to Spider Veins with Sclerotherapy in Encinitas, CA!

Spider veins are a naturally occurring consequence of aging, which can negatively affect your self-confidence by compromising or even ruining the appearance of your legs. At Skin & Vein Institute in Encinitas, CA, we offer personalized treatment for spider veins using sclerotherapy, a safe and time-tested procedure.

Sclerotherapy involves injecting a sclerosing agent, such as polidocanol or sodium tetradecyl sulfate, into superficial veins. This induces a chemical reaction that closes the veins, allowing your body to naturally resorb them, effectively reducing their appearance to restore your legs’ ideal tone and look. The procedure is virtually painless and takes about 40 minutes. To enhance results, we recommend wearing compression stockings for two weeks post-treatment.

In many cases, sclerotherapy is combined with laser therapy for optimal results. Dr. Amanda Lloyd, with advanced training in laser technologies, uses the Excel V laser to target pigmentation in superficial vessels, closing them and eliminating their appearance on the skin. This non-invasive treatment is completed in about 20 minutes, with several sessions needed for full resolution.

At Skin & Vein Institute, we prioritize good customer care. Dr. Lloyd takes time to evaluate your condition and lifestyle factors and tailor treatment to your individual needs. To book an appointment, call (760) 452-2080 or email [email protected].
