September is Skin Care Awareness Month: Give your skin some love!
As we head into Fall, it is time to take a fresh look at our skin care routines. And with September being National Skincare Awareness month, we have the perfect excuse to pay a little attention to our skin.
Here are some helpful tips:
- Moisturize and hydrate: Apply a good quality moisturizer on your skin to protect it from external elements, and increase your liquid consumption to at least eight glasses of water a day.
- Sunscreen is not just for summer, it will protect your skin from UV rays throughout the year. It will help you ward off signs of premature aging like fine lines and wrinkles and hyperpigmentation and skin cancer.
- Pamper your skin with quality products.
- Examine your skin at least once a month. It will alert you to any changes needing professional attention.
- Visit a dermatologist at least once a year for a complete checkup. This will help problems to be nipped in the bud.
Skin care awareness is not just for September, but it is the perfect time to start.
