September is healthy aging month!
Our skin shows some of the most visible signs of aging. After all, the skin is our largest organ and one of the most visible indicators of our overall health. As we approach autumn, now is an excellent opportunity to assess your skin and promote healthier habits that will help to maintain and protect it!

Skin Care for Healthy Aging
1. Be gentle with your skin. As we age, our skin thins and becomes more prone to dehydration and damage. You can protect your skin and stay ahead of problems by embracing a gentle skin care regimen.
2. Examine your skin regularly. Make it a habit to examine your skin regularly, ideally at least once a month, to detect skin cancers early–schedule regular skin checks with your provider at Skin & Vein Institute in Encinitas.
3. Use sunscreen daily. The sun’s ultraviolet rays can significantly impact your skin and cause various skin damage, including sunburns, pigmentation changes, wrinkles, and skin cancer.
Dr. Amanda Lloyd recommends a preventive anti-aging strategy: having Botox treatments every six months will prevent wrinkles and allow you to live a youthful life!
If you’re ready to incorporate Botox into your anti-aging strategy, contact Skin & Vein Institute in Encinitas at (760) 452-2080 or email [email protected] to set up a consultation.
