Tips for Summer Skincare!
Summer is almost here! Summer days are meant for relaxing and having fun, but they may also be harmful to the health of your skin. Here are some suggestions to keep you hydrated and healthy during the summer months.
- Dress appropriately: Your clothes aren’t only fashionable, they also absorb or filter damaging UV rays, making them one of the most efficient kinds of sun protection and skin cancer prevention.
- Wear sunscreen all year: Sunscreen should be applied to your skin every day and reapplied before going outside. Make sure it is a broad-spectrum lotion that will protect you from UVA radiation too. It must be at least SPF 30. My favorite is Elta md clear.
- Don’t forget about your lips: Apply an SPF lip balm every day.
- Exfoliate: Outdoor activities frequently result in dull, rough skin regions and dry, dead skin cells. By exfoliating monthly and eliminating them, you allow new, healthier skin to emerge. My favorite gentle exfoliator is Glytone mild gel wash.
- Moisturize: After spending days in the hot, dry summer heat, it is critical to replenish moisture in your skin. My favorite is Triple Lipid from Skin Ceuticals.
- Stay Hydrated: While drinking water is vital all year, it is especially crucial during the heat.
