What cosmetic dermatology procedures do you offer?
There are three main categories based on how you want to treat different conditions.
The first category is the neuromodulators. This includes Botox, Jeuveau, Xeomin, and Dysport. These treatments relax muscles so that the wrinkles caused by muscle movements diminish.
These are the wrinkles,
- In between your eyebrows like the 11 lines
- The lines around your eyes or crow's feet
- The lines on your forehead
These treatments can also be used in the lower face to help turn up the corners of your mouth, or for the lip flip. Neuromodulators also help with the ‘Nefertiti lift’ which works on the jowls around your mouth.
The second category is fillers, of which there are many varieties. You should pick an experienced Board-Certified Dermatologist specializing in cosmetics like myself.
Fillers treat volume loss. It is important to make sure that the volume loss bothering you and the filler that the injector chooses match. A mismatch results in disappointment.
Fillers, if done right, can do a great job of improving facial appearance naturally. As we get older, we lose volume in our face, and fillers help get that volume back so that we don't look tired when we are not feeling tired.
The third group, lasers, are excellent at treating the skin surface to improve tone and texture, get rid of fine lines, wrinkles and crepiness. We also use lasers to treat brown spots, red spots and sun damage.
With some lasers, one treatment is enough, while two or three treatments may be needed with others. It depends on what it is you are looking to treat, and there is a laser that suits everyone.
Some are relatively pain-free, others maybe a little more painful but also a little more effective. Your goals will determine the optimal laser for your skin.
